So close and yet still so far away

So what a weekend it was for Stewman. First he was visited by the lovely Mrs. NBA who for some reason brought along her hubby the one and only Mr. NBA. They stayed the weekend and we did some tubing down the salt river, saw a horrible movie in "The Waitress" and ate good meals at PF Changs and Yardhouse.

Then came the poker tourney on Sunday. Originally I was going to play the Saturday 4000FPP WSOP I qualified for earlier in the week but I didn't have time so I cashed out the 4000FPP's. I then played in the SilverStars 500FPP WSOP tourney on Sunday. Top 5 got seats and 6-99 won $100. Starting field 2805. I played great and finished 23rd. Last hand was a brutal tease from the poker Gods as I went all in preflop for almost 100k with 55 and got called by JJ. Flop came J5x and it was adios Stewman.







I was the benefactor of some poor playing and won a race on these back to back hands. These hands propelled me to 3rd with 162 players left.

With about 105 players left I was 5th in chips but couldn't move up from there. Basically went card dead and when I picked up hands and went all in got no callers except twice. Won a race with A10 v. 99 and then my final hand and lost 55 v JJ.

I have had a lot of good results recently in large free roll fields. Not sure what that means however?????

Very happy with my play even though I think it is obvious I need help with my blind play. Truly one of the weakest parts of my game.
